One of the cutest little chonkers of a fountain pen has been added to my fountain pen family! The Majohn Q1.

The packaging was simple, with decent foam to protect the pen. Great that it came with an eye dropper, though I have a ton of pipettes (this is much nicer though!)

The google translate on the packaging gives me a chuckle, but it reminds me of a lot of medication my family has at home, like Riqqaching (at least, that’s how I know it’s pronounced - unfortunately I can’t read the bottle).

This is my first eyedropper pen, which has been a lot of fun. It’s nice to not have to fuss with a converter or a cartridge, though waiting for the ink to settle in is a show of my impatience.

The adorable, chonky form factor makes it a lovely pen to have in any collection. It’s definitely an “at home” pen, given the gigantic size that definitely won’t fit into a fountain pen specific sleeve or pen case. I also would be a bit hesitant to toss an eyedropper pen into my bag but that’s just me. Also! The price was really accessible.

All in all, I find the pen to be surprisingly comfortable to write with. If you struggle with thinner pens, this may be a good fit for you. I do like that the barrel to the section/grip is fairly smooth, as some pens have much more prominent ridges that depending on how you hold your pen may make it less comfortable.
