Birmingham Ink - Airline

A new favourite blue for me!

(Birmingham Ink - Airline, swatched on a Col-O-Ring swatch card (design is a Yoseka Stationery stamp).

I didn’t actually think something could dethrone Sailor Sei Boku from first place, but oh my God. THIS ink is so beautiful. The blue is so vibrant, and I am absolutely obsessed with the halo-ing that shows up.

Birmingham has labelled this ink as ‘Gentle’, using their ‘Wishy-Washy’ formula - that is to say, they claim the ink is the most vintage friendly formula they have! Not that I knew that before I bought it, though that’s a lovely note for the ink. I haven’t tested it since I don’t have any vintage pens, but the ink has cleaned out without issues in my Majohn Q1.

Here’s some writing samples using a medium nib. The ink behaves perfectly, and it’s a fairly regular ink, leaning onto the wet side. The halo-ing is WORTH. I love it.
