Naya Paperie - Vic.plans Pocket Plus Rings Planner

Recently I saw a Naya Paperie cover from raiyplanz on instagram and immediately fell in love with that shooting star embossing. It only took me a bit of hum-hawing before I visited the online shop to customize my own planner. I chose the Pocket Plus Vic.Plans collab in the apple cider leather.

Let’s take a a look at the details, and then I’ll show you the spreads I’ve made.
(the star embossing was an add-on!)

As per the Naya Paperie site, the planner measures 15cm by 28cm, and features 30mm silver rings.
There’s 2 full size pockets on the inner front cover (the left side of the photo here), and 1 full size pocket on the back inner cover (on the right side of the photo).

The planner also features 3 card slots on the inside front and back, as well as that itty bitty one on the front side. I don’t have anything in there, but I’ve seen others put magnetic enamel pins or washi tape cards there. I have a lot of enamel pins, though I wouldn’t want to pierce through the leather myself. I’ll probably pick up a magnetic one, as I’ve seen some cute ones on Etsy and other small businesses. I think mostly I’ve found them labelled as “needle minders”.

As an optional add on, I opted to pay a little extra for the full length back pocket. I mostly chose to do this because I intend to use this little guy as my ‘on-the-go’ planner, as well as my wallet. This way I’ve got space to throw cash, receipts, and other papers picked up along the way in.

As a note, the leather is a smooth leather which you will need to get a leather protective spray for! I just picked mine up at my local grocery store.

I’ve designed some simple spreads, and printed them out on Kokuyo Business paper (like I use in my swatches). They’re 9.3cm by 12cm as I thought the size was the perfect fit for me. I have a weekly spread similar to the layout of the Hobonichi weeks.

I made my own tabs and the front “pocket” out of thick vellum paper at 167gsm.

Processing and shipping took about 6-8 weeks, but it was handmade and shipped abroad :)

Overall, I love this planner! The leather is beautiful and smooth, and I love the craftsmanship.

As a bonus aside, here’s a little charm I picked up from the Michael’s Craft Store in their jewellery section!
