The Lamy Safari 2022 Special Edition in Cream

One of my most recent pen purchases was this Lamy Safari with a Medium Nib. I wasn’t sure I would still be able to buy it, as it was from the 2022 limited edition in Strawberries and Cream, but I was lucky to find it!

This pen is my first Lamy Safari, and it writes like a dream. The body is a durable plastic, and I’m confident this is one I can just throw into my bag.

The nib design is a lot blockier and less flashy or ornate than others I’ve used thus far. The only design markings are a small letter for the nib size, and the brand name of ‘Lamy’.

I inked it up with Wearingeul fountain pen ink in “I Am A Cat”. Here’s a quick writing sample above of the medium nib in comparison with the Muji pen with the cap, in 0.5.

The photos above are on a small Midori notebook.

The nib so far writes like butter. I can see why the pen is so popular! With the lower price, it’s also a decent entry level pen.
