Wearingeul - The Old Man and the Sea

(Wearingeul - The Old Man and the Sea, swatched on a Col-O-Ring swatch card (design is a Yoseka Stationery stamp).

The Old Man and the Sea is a fantastically dark ink. It’s a deep denim/navy colour with dark red shimmer. To me it looks like the scene in Bioshock as you swim your way to the lighthouse - surrounded by dark water with reflections of fire and light.

The shimmer, while prominent in the swatches from my pipette, is fairly subtle in actual writing. The shading though is perfect.

The ink is fantastic to write with in a medium nib. It only shows hints of the shimmer, making that aspect fairly subtle. But the shading is spectacular ! The shimmering and shading might be even more prominent with a larger nib size.
