Wearingeul - Geppetto

Wearingeul - Geppetto, swatched on a Col-O-Ring swatch card (design is a Yoseka Stationery stamp).

I love. This. Ink. It’s a salmon-y kind of colour, think Atlantic salmon but pinker. It does have some crazy differences on different papers, as you can see in the different ink swatches. The Kokuyo and Rhodia papers both give a lighter salmon-coral colour, whereas the other two go in complete opposite directions. The Midori paper makes the ink super vibrant and much darker, while the Tomoe River almost seems to desaturate the ink, and make it a little more beige.

Colour correcting these were a NIGHTMARE - I always seem to have difficulty with oranges in particular. But, I think I got these pretty darn accurate. Definitely the photographs are a more accurate representation of the colour vs the scan, though I never colour correct the scans just for consistency’s sake.

Writing Sample

Writing with the ink was a normal experience - IMO it doesn’t lean wet or dry. There was only a smidge of shading with this extra fine nib (fair), so once I try it with a larger nib I’ll have to post again :)
