Van Dieman’s - Huon Midwinter Festival

Van Dieman’s - Huon Midwinter Festival, swatched on a Col-O-Ring swatch card (design is a Yoseka Stationery stamp).

Wowowowow—I wasn’t expecting to find another brown to add ton my favourites today, but here we are. Van Dieman’s Huon Midwinter Festival is a lovely, warm-toned dark brown, sporting gold shimmer in it. It’s just such a rich shade of brown, and the shimmer is so beautiful. It really makes me think of the transition between Autumn and Winter - like drinking a hot chocolate at a Christmas lights festival.

Writing Sample / Ink Review

Writing sample here is with a Benu Euphoria sporting a Fine nib.

The ink was delightful to write with - not too wet or dry. It does has moments of aggressive shading (you can see some of it in my ascenders and descenders), but they’re like a tiny highlight. The main event here is the shimmer, but I find it subtle enough unless it’s in lighting. So you could try to pass it as a business ink if you want to, LOL.
