Organics Studio - Walden

Today’s fountain pen ink is another intense sheener from Organics Studio! This time in the colour Walden.

Let’s get into it.

Walden doesn’t seem to have the same notoriety as Nitrogen (at least from what I’ve witnessed in the Fountain Pens subreddit), but the sheening is just as intense and wild. This one is a green ink with a heavy purple sheen, though honestly it feels like the base colour is merely a whisper. The sheen feels like the Venom symbiote latching onto Spiderman in the Toby Maguire films, just shlurping on and taking over.

The sheening is visible (and insane) on most of the papers, with the exception of the Rhodia paper. There we can see that Walden has a nice foresty green colour underneath all that shine and sheen - so if you’re looking for the pleasant surprise of heavy hits of sheen but still want a green ink, the Rhodia paper is a good pairing.
