Octopus Fluids - Ostrich

Octopus Fluids - Ostrich, swatched on a Col-O-Ring swatch card (design is a Yoseka Stationery stamp).

My first ink from Octopus Fluids! This ink is really interesting, though I’m not suuure how much I like the colour (it reminds me too much of spinach LOL).

The ink is from their Write & Draw ink, supposedly good for both… well, writing and drawing. Admittedly, I let this ink dry on/in my Kakimori brass nib, and that took an annoying amount of time to clean. That’s probably more an issue for how I used the ink, but I won’t be leaving the ink in expensive pens, lest they clog things up. There’s a bit of shading even in the writing of ‘Ostrich’.

SPEAKING OF, embarrassing seeing my spelling mistakes on all these photos lol, but at this point I’ve already swatched it and that’s what matters >:(

Writing Sample

I haven’t inked this in any pen yet(I only have a few Majohns/Jinhaos), but I did draw and paint with it for this little sketch. I thought it layered really nicely.

Hi! Just a disclaimer that:
