Ferris Wheel Press - Cabernet on the Lake | Woven Warmth Collection
Today’s fountain pen ink is the third and final from the Woven Warmth collection from Ferris Wheel Press, this time in Cabernet on the Lake. All the inks in the trio are shimmery, in a lovely variety of shades.. The other two inks are light brown named Majestic Maple, and a light green named Hampton Harbour Sage.
The ink is a gorgeous red wine colour, in light amounts leaning to a dark magenta colour. It features a lot of rose gold shimmer, which I really like. Like with other shimmer inks, I would definitely only ink this one in a medium nib or larger, just to avoid potential clogging.
I did a little bit of lettering, using a Speedball monoline dip pen, and a glass dip pen on Tomoe River paper. The ink had a nice flow, though this isn’t with a typical pen.
Also, here’s a close up of the swatch on Tomoe River paper at an angle with some indirect sunlight, so you can use those peepers and get a closer look at the shimmer 👀.
