Diamine - Oxford Blue

Diamine Oxford Blue is a seemingly ‘all-business’ shade of dark blue, but on the right paper has a lovely amount of coppery-pink sheen to it.

Let’s get into it.

I’ll admit, with the selection of fountain pen inks I have in my arsenal I don’t reach for this fountain pen ink very often. Maybe it’s the childhood of all blue inks that’s made me shy away from the dark blue shades - I actually picked it up because I really liked seeing the sheen in the photos from Mountain Of Ink’s blog.

Initially when I got it, I only had Rhodia paper that I was using and I don’t think the ink shines the best there. The ink truly shows off more of the sheening on Midori and Tomoe River paper - and I think this process of swatching has inspired me to get around to filling a pen with it eventually!
