Diamine - Lavender Frost | Inkvent 2023
Hello! For day seventeen of the Diamine Inkvent 2023 we have a MESMERIZING treat of a dusty purple ink with shimmer.

I love this colour. I hated lavender as a kid admittedly, but it’s really grown on me as I’ve gotten older. This fountain pen ink is a dusty, dark lavender colour. I certainly wasn’t expecting it to be a dark colour - I did think it was going to be an unusable pastel lavender. This was an extremely delightful surprise! There’s a lovely amount of shading, and fabulous silver shimmer in generous amounts. I especially like the ink on the creamy yellow Midori paper, as it warms up the ink colour a little bit.
I can’t help but be dazzled at the close up of the ink - the shimmer is so mesmerizing in the light that it’s a delight to look at.
This ink is perfectly legible with the <BB> nib I was using for the writing example below, so no worries in a broad nib in case you’re worried about seeing the ink.
