Diamine - Earl Grey | r/fountainpens

This ink from Diamine was made thanks to the folks at the r/fountainpens subreddit!

Let’s get into it.

This ink is a gorgeous, well-behaved medium grey ink. It has some purple undertones to it, and a wonderful heaping of shading. I’ve used it in numerous pens and even in a TWSBI extra fine the shading shows nicely on Kokuyo paper.

Other r/fountainpens colours are Writer’s Blood (a dark red), Aurora Borealis (a dark teal), Celadon Cat (a grey-teal), and Sailors Warning (a coral with purple shimmer).

If you’re looking for a lighter but still legible ink from Diamine, Ghost from the 2022 Inkvent calendar is a beautiful and lighter ink colour! You can see a little comparison swatch I posted on my Instagram, using an old Hobonichi planner that’s using the original Tomoe River paper.
