Birmingham Pen Co. - Magnolia Mirage

(Birmingham Pen Co. - Magnolia Mirage, swatched on a Col-O-Ring swatch card (design is a Yoseka Stationery stamp).

Wow. This ink is very interesting - the large swatches of it I find super gorgeous. I love the shades of pink to purple, and I love the dark purple halo-ing. This ink in writing specifically reminds me of Diamine Handel - mostly because it’s a dusty pink / dusty mauve.

In the large swatch, you get to see a lot of that brighter pink colour, and there’s a fair bit of shading/depth in the colour. In the writing, however, the pink leans a bit dustier, and isn’t quite as Barbie Dreamhouse furniture. No shading was prominent here with this medium-fine nib I’m using, though that may be different in a larger nib. It’s a fun colour, but I think the dustiness isn’t quite what I’m looking for.
