Birmingham Ink - Sterling Silver
A grey ink that brings you back to childhood.
(Birmingham Ink - Sterling Silver, swatched on a Col-O-Ring swatch card (design is a Yoseka Stationery stamp).
This ink was a confusing and delightful surprise. I had no idea what to expect, as it came in a little bag of wonderful ink samples from my friend Pensandcat. The vial had a purple liquid in it, so I thought that the labels could’ve been swapped. I swabbed it anyways.
The ink went down on the paper like a watered down grape freezy. So pale - but as it dried, it turned into this grey colour (which looks fairly different on each of these papers)! 🤔 It’s a fairly cool, blue-grey once it’s dried. It made me feel like a kid again with those Elmers glue sticks that go down purple but dry clear.
The ink behaved well - I enjoyed it a lot. I’m not likely to order a full bottle, though to me honest I don’t really go for full bottles (I don’t know if you’ve noticed by the site, I want to try all the inks).
The ink has a DELIGHTFUL amount of shading, which is just amazing.
Hi! Just a disclaimer that:
This ink was given to me as a sample by the lovely @pensandcat over on Instagram :)

A cool toned, purple-y pink brown.
