Teranishi - Salon de Violet

(Teranishi - Salon de Violet, swatched on a Col-O-Ring swatch card (design is a Yoseka Stationery stamp).

Another ink from my Penablers Advent Calendar for 2024 :) Today is a Teranishi ink in Salon de Violet. It’s a deep, eggplant-esque purple colour. I’d say it’s similar to a Lamy ink, though I need to throw some swatches of that one up too (probably after December!)

This ink has some golden-greenish sheen to it, and in the swatches has fairly minimal shading. It does write nicely though, as you’ll see below.

Writing Sample / Ink Review

There’s a pleasant amount of shading while writing with the ink—it’s not a drastic contrast, so if you’re someone who prefers a subtler bit of shading with your ink, this might fit the bill for you.

It’s a pretty colour, and does write well. However, in my myriad of purples at my disposal, I don’t think this would be my first choice. I’d be happy if it’s the one pulled out of the box, however :)
