Robert Oster - Sterling Silver

Today’s fountain pen ink is another new to my drawer, and one of the few I have from Robert Oster. From their Shake n Shimmy line, Sterling Silver is very shimmery as the collection name would suggest.

Let’s get into it.

As noted previously, Robert Oster is an Australian stationery brand. On their website they say that their inks are non-toxic, and they have a focus on sustainability (see their ethics page). Always lovely to see transparency from a brand.

Sterling Silver is another crazy shimmery ink. It’s a dark grey ink with purple hues, packed with tons of silver shimmer. In terms of the name, it’s quite dark. I always think of those sterling silver necklaces or bands, which are always quite light. This though, is a very legible ink which is great.

Sterling Silver is a fairly smooth ink, compared to Heart of Gold. Of the two, I definitely prefer this one more.

Honestly, I’m worried about putting this ink in anything but my broadest, and perhaps least expensive pens. Once it’s been inked up, the page will be updated with writing samples :)
