Ferris Wheel Press - Aurorealis

(Ferris Wheel Press - Aurorealis, swatched on a Col-O-Ring swatch card (design is a Yoseka Stationery stamp).

This is such, such a pretty ink. It’s got a great flow to it, the purple is so beautiful and vibrant, and the pinky-gold shimmer works so perfectly with the base colour. I love that.

But, this ink also gave me a lot of conflicted feelings. I have… mixed feelings for the usage of AI. I can see it’s usage and the way it can help a lot of people, but I can also see how it’s taken creative jobs away from people, or takes advantage of their work to make a database to pull from. I bring this up because of some of the copy for the ink, as quoted from the Ferris Wheel Press website (and which can also be found on retailers):

By embracing technology, we’ve taken inspiration from AI to help conceptualise Cybearnice’s hand-illustrated high-fashion futuristic garb, complete with stylish damask details and anti-radiation technology.

AI in creative spaces is a tricky thing for me to navigate morally - and I’m sure it’s a very personal take for everybody. Personally, it gives me a bit of the ick. So, for those reasons I won’t be getting this ink.
