Diamine - Spruce | Inkvent 2022
Day 4 of the Diamine 2022 inkvent calendar - a scented fountain pen ink called Spruce.
Let’s get into it.
Spruce is a scented ink, and true to it’s name it smells of pine - or just extremely strong, crisp trees. I found the smell pleasant, though the strength was intense (likely due to all the swatching), and lingered in the room for a while. I think inked up the smell won’t be quite as intense, and it might be a lot more pleasant that way.
This ink was really wet, and did feather with my extra fine glass dip pen on the Kokuyo paper, which surprised me. Colour wise, it’s a medium foresty green with a bit of shading and red sheening - the sheening was actually much more prominent on the Midori paper than the Tomoe River.
