Diamine - Ghost | Inkvent 2022
Day 6 of the Diamine 2022 inkvent calendar is a standard ink, this time called Ghost.
Let’s get into it.
I had a bit of difficulty deciding what colour this seemed to lean to most in my eyes. Ghost is a beautiful grey ink with lots of purple and blue tones to it - you can see lots it peek through in the generous shading in all the papers. Even on the Kokuyo the other colours kind of ghost through and I think it’s really beautiful.
Even though it’s a standard ink, I do love this one a lot - I’m a sucker for a gorgeous neutral colour. Also - it being a standard ink means I won’t have to worry about the fuss of shimmer clogging an extra fine nib, which is always a win.
Here’s a couple photos comparing Ghost and Earl Grey (also from Diamine) in an old Hobonichi which uses the original Tomoe River paper. Ghost is a lighter and softer colour, though still legible. I find it quite similar to the Muji grey ballpoint pens! I like it a lot, and I may gravitate towards this one a bit more often, actually.
