Diamine - Dusted Truffle | Inkvent 2022
Day 10 of the Diamine 2022 inkvent calendar is a shimmer ink, and one of my favourites! The colour name is Dusted Truffle.
Let’s get into it.
This fountain pen ink sent me on a journey - at first swatch, it almost seems kind of green? Like a weird minty-brown colour. But when it dries, the beauty really comes out. It’s a lighter, warm leaning brown. The brown colour is so pretty, and the silver shimmer goes really well with it. There’s a little bit of dark brown sheening at the edges, which is quite interesting. This is one of my top inks of the bunch, for sure.
Here’s a little writing sample using this ink, with a Speedball nib holder and monoline nib, and a glass dip pen! This is on an old Hobonichi planner which uses the original Tomoe River paper.
