Diamine - Deck the Halls | Inkvent 2022
Day 22 of the Diamine 2022 inkvent calendar is a stunning purple Chameleon fountain pen ink, named Deck the Halls.
Let’s get into it.
Deck the Halls fulfills the wishes of all my ‘I’m a bird hunting for shinies’ energy. It’s a gorgeous deep purple, with a colour-shifting shimmer that tilts from a beautiful deep copper, to a bright magenta. There’s a little bit of a bronze sheening to it too, though only in the large pools on the Tomoe River and Midori papers.
Will I buy a full bottle of this? Very, very strong mayhaps. I have a lot of inks to work my way through, but I’ll definitely be looking at this one.
Here’s also a little writing sample I have of the ink using a Speedball nib holder and a monoline B nib. The purple and the shimmer doesn’t show very well in this video though.
